Das „Poème Symphonique“ schrieb György Ligeti 1962 für 100 mechanische Metronome. Und so wird es aufgeführt: Zehn Musiker ziehen zunächst jeweils zehn der hundert Metronome auf. Dann herrscht zunächst zwei bis sechs Minuten Stille. Auf das Zeichen eines Dirigenten werden die hundert Metronome möglichst zeitgleich gestartet. Die Lautstärke nimmt zu, es entsteht ein rhythmisches Durcheinander und zu Ende verstummt ein Metronom nach dem anderen, bis auch das letzte aufhört zu schlagen.

Das Leben in Düsseldorf nimmt Fahrt auf. Der Rhythmus der Stadt schlägt wieder im Takt der Metropole. Doch die Musiker des ODL sind gezwungen, in für sie ungewohnter Weise abzuwarten, bis wieder Proben möglich sind. Doch wie klingt die Zeit, die sie im Orchester-Wartesaal des Corona-Modus verbringen? Wir haben uns von Ligetis Werk für 100 Metronome inspirieren lassen und geben die Antwort. Mit einem „Poème Symphoniqe für mechanisches Metronom, Dirigent und Orchester im Corona-Modus“.
FILMISCHE UMSETZUNG
Medienhafen Düsseldorf. Der Dirigent in schwarzer Kombi mit Sonnenbrille. Auf dem Dirigentenpult ein mechanisches Metronom. Im Hintergrund die Skyline Düsseldorfs. Der Dirigent zieht das Metronom auf. Einige Sekunden Stille. Er löst das Metronom aus und beginnt zu dirigieren. Er gibt Einsätze in verschiedene Blickrichtungen. Dort tauchen nach und nach Bilder auf, die von Musikern zu Hause mit dem Handy aufgenommen wurden. Die Anzahl der Musiker steigert sich bis eine Generalpause erfolgt. Ein Geiger zählt die Tage im Shut Down. Dann steigert sich die Klangdichte wieder, bis zu Ende einzig das Metronom übrig bleibt. Dann hört es auf zu schlagen.

But how does the time they spend in the orchestra waiting room of Corona mode sounds like? We have been inspired by Ligeti's work for 100 metronomes and give the answer.
